Monocle Business Consulting solutions came simply out of a solution to a problem that has always existed in my own business. Like anything in life, the first step is always to recognize what the problem is. Many of us spend so much time working in our business, we leave very little to no time to work on our business. As a manufacturer’s representative, we face a variety of challenges, however the one we are always up against is time. I needed to find a way to make my team more efficient in how they determined where to spend their time and provide them with all the information they needed to ensure those interactions were productive for the dealer, our vendors, & our company. 

Sounds easy enough, right? Well, now factor in the number of manufacturers we represent - which is over 20 - and the number of dealers we call on, which is in the thousands. Every month our manufacturers send us their sales reports. The obstacles are that they are all formatted differently, exist in a variety of different software programs, and dealer names can even differ from report to report. All of this poses major hurdles for representatives. There lies the problem. How do you efficiently digest this information and plan your team’s actions moving forward based on that information?

This is and always has been a relationship business. The foundation of our company was built on this belief, and we stay true to that.
